Today, the House Transportation-Vehicles and Safety Committee passed Senate Bill 1786, the License to Work Act. SB 1786 will now await a full vote in the Illinois House during the veto session.
This evening, the Illinois House passed Senate Bill 2090. The bill requires county jails and election authorities to collaborate in creating a process that ensures pre-trial detainees in jail can cast their ballot during elections.
