Across the country, people are mobilizing to stand up for our democracy and against the Trump Administration’s abuse of power. On June 14 – Flag Day – the ACLU of Illinois will join Indivisible Chicago and partner organizations for a mass demonstration to defend our freedoms.

Join us on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at 12PM on Daley Plaza (50 W Washington St, Chicago, IL 60602). The ACLU of Illinois will be handing out signs at the Southeast Corner of Daley Plaza (Washington and Dearborn).

This nationwide day of action comes in response to escalating threats to our rights and democratic institutions. We are seeing efforts to silence dissent, punish political opponents, undermine the role of the courts, and target immigrants and communities of color.

This year, the Trump Administration is planning a military parade in Washington D.C. on Flag Day. Our plan is to come together to reaffirm what our flag actually represents: not the power of any one individual, but the shared values of equality, justice, and freedom.

No Kings is a nationwide collective demand for accountability, dignity, and the rule of law.
