SB 030 – Public Act 93-0209

Sponsored by Senator Obama and Representative Davis, Senate Bill 030 established the 2003 Traffic Stop Data Collection Law, which mandates that law enforcement officials in Illinois record the race and ethnicity of all civilians whom they stop; requires the collection of data; and calls for the data to be examined by outside academic experts, and analyzed.
