Jason Van Dyke has been held accountable by a jury for shooting Laquan McDonald 16 times and unnecessarily killing him. Laquan McDonald should still be alive today. We continue to grieve for the McDonald family and broader community, which lost this young man too soon.
UPDATE: After receiving our letter, the Kendall County Clerk’s Office said they will remove the misleading and confusing instructions from its website telling voters to bring ID to the polls. They also committed to training their election judges that ID is not required to vote.
