After Constance McMillen stood up for her right to bring her girlfriend to her high school prom, the judge said she would be invited to a parent-sponsored prom instead held at the Fulton County Country Club in Mississippi on Friday.

But according to an article on NMissCommentor, only seven students showed. The other students attended a separate prom held at a secret location in the country.

According to the article, parents did not want McMillen at the prom so the school announced its cancellation then secretly located it. On Wednesday, the school's attorney said "the prom" would be held at the country club.

It is unfortunate that even after the federal judge ruled McMillen's constitutional rights were violated, some community members and parents continue to perpetuate a homophobic school environment.

Clearly McMillen is more of an adult than those parents.
