Early voting for the 2020 Primary Election in Illinois is underway. From President to local prosecutors, judges and other officials, your vote in this election will have an impact on how civil liberties are protected and advanced in our state. Mark sure you make a plan and vote.
In Illinois you can register to vote through the Election on March 17. Check with your local election authority to find out where you can register in your area.
Make a plan to vote:
Step #1: Make sure you are registered! Even if you voted with no problem last time, it’s important to check.
Step #2: Make a plan to vote – where you need to go, how you will get there, and when you are going. Take another registered voter along!
Step #3: Learn more about candidates in your area:
- Get a sample ballot from your local election authority
- Research the candidates – look at the candidates’ websites, check local news sources and look for candidate news and events sponsored by local groups such as the League of Women Voters
