On March 25, 2022, the ACLU of Illinois will hold our Annual Lunch. Please join us for this virtual event, where we will come together as a community to celebrate and support the ongoing work to defend civil rights and civil liberties. The event will feature a keynote conversation between ACLU National Legal Director David Cole and University of Chicago Law Professor Aziz Z. Huq on protecting our democracy and the role that each of us has to play in the fight for civil liberties.
There will be performances by Young Chicago Authors' poet Christie Valentin-Bati and playwright, composer, NYCLU Artist Ambassador Co-Chair November Christine as well as remarks from Coalition to End Money Bond advocate Lavette Mayes and reproductive rights activists from across the country.
Following the main program, all registered attendees are invited to attend an optional follow-up discussion from 1:00 – 1:30 PM CDT on one of two topics:
