Bio
Kevin M. Fee is Legal Director of the Roger Baldwin Foundation of the ACLU of Illinois. Kevin oversees the ACLU of Illinois’s legal strategy and litigation docket and has led a wide variety of federal and state constitutional litigation at the ACLU, including First Amendment, criminal justice, and juvenile corrections matters. Kevin also launched the Illinois Constitution and Democracy Project at the ACLU of Illinois, which seeks to advance the Illinois Constitution as a source of civil rights and civil liberties protections for all Illinoisans.
Before joining the ACLU Kevin was a Partner in the Litigation group at Sidley Austin LLP, where his practice included complex commercial litigation and criminal defense, and where he served as Chair of the Chicago office’s Pro Bono Committee. While at Sidley Kevin also served as Trial Counsel to the Illinois Judicial Inquiry Board. Kevin is a graduate of Harvard Law School and the University of California – Berkeley.
