May 8, 2008 - Civil Union Write & Run in Oak Park Stop by Unity Temple, 875 Lake Street, Oak Park, on Thursday, May 8th from 5-10pm Where: Unity Temple, 875 Lake Street, Oak Park Express your support for civil unions in Illinois! The ACLU of Illinois, Unity Temple, Oak Park Area Lesbian and Gay Association and the Human Rights Campaign are hosting a letter-writing party in support of fairness for gay & lesbian couples and families in Illinois. Real Illinois families are being hurt right now by the denial of basic legal protections – tell your legislator to stand up for fairness. Come by, grab a slice of pizza, and write a letter to your legislator supporting the Illinois Religious Freedom Protection and Civil Union Act (HB1826).
