The Neo-Futurists announce their annual Pride-Weekend Benefit, this year to raise funds for The American Civil Liberties Union of Illinois' Youth at Risk Project. The benefit performance is a special edition of Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind (TMLMTBGB) entitled 30 Queer Plays in 60 Straight Minutes. "Featuring 30 of the Ensemble's favorite plays with themes of queer sexuality and gender bending from the last year of TMLMTBGB, plus a bonus visit from the stars of the full-length extravaganza DRAG.

All proceeds benefit The ACLU's Youth at Risk Project, which seeks to advocate for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth who are the victims of discrimination in schools or the juvenile justice and child welfare systems in Illinois. The Project also seeks to lay the groundwork for passage of Illinois safe school legislation and promote adoption of anti-discrimination policies. This state-wide program strives to practice "Preventative Advocacy" through outreach and education, and to remedy civil rights inequity and change policies without lengthy court cases. Systems are in place so that young people may contact the ACLU and get pro-bono help and education regarding their civil rights.
