Ask Congress to Oppose Warrantless Wiretapping

Don't let Congress concede defeat to the Bush Administration without a fight! The Senate is close to passing a dangerous and unconstitutional FISA bill that allows government eavesdropping on American citizens and grants immunity to giant phone companies. Now the matter returns to the House.

The only thing standing between the authorization of warrantless wiretapping and telecom immunity is decisive, courageous action by House members. Your representative needs to hear from you today!

Call your Representative today at the number below and urge him or her to oppose warrantless spying and immunity for companies that break the law. You can make sure your phone call is counted by sending a longer message: https://secure.aclu.org/site/Advocacy?alertId=805&pg=makeACall.

Then, take the next step - write a letter to the editor at the local newspaper telling your Representative that he or she should stand up for the Constitution and oppose the Bush Administration's overreach for power. You can be assured that President Bush will sign legislation that makes his warrantless spying legal, and that provides immunity for giant telephone companies who cooperated with the Bush Administration and violated their customer's privacy.
