Senate Bill 3186 - previously introduced as Senate Bill 101 - brings to an end the last legally sanctioned discrimination in our state - - discrimination against gay men, lesbians, bisexual and transgender persons. Senate Bill 3186 bans discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in housing, credit, employment and public accommodations. It is time for a statewide policy against this form of discrimination.

We have a real opportunity to insure passage of this critical legislation next week - with a vote coming either next Monday or Tuesday (January 10th or 11th) before the new General Assembly is seated! Please contact your state senator and state representative BEFORE MONDAY, JANUARY 10TH and urge them to approve this legislation next week when it comes to a final vote!
