June 2009 Archives Join us at the LGBT Pride Parade June 23, 2009  The 40th Annual Chicago Gay Pride Parade takes place this Sunday, and the ACLU will be representing again this year. We're very excited to have a place in the parade, and our theme will be "Building an Illinois We Can Be Proud Of". Expect to see a lot of tool belts and hard hats.Of course, we would love to have as many participants as possible. If you would like to join us at the Pride Parade, please visit action.aclu.org/lgbtpride and sign up. All are welcome, and we'll have a truck this year to assist folks who cannot walk the entire route. The Pride Parade is easily accessible by both Red and Brown Lines at the Belmont stop.
