Help Make Illinois Fair for ALL Families This Weekend
August 29, 2008
Will you stand for fairness with the ACLU ? This weekend volunteers with the ACLU of Illinois will be in your neighborhood knocking on doors to make sure all Illinois families receive fair treatment. Currently, longstanding, committed gay and lesbian couples may be denied the ability to make emergency medical decisions for each other, or even to bury their loved one with dignity. Help us pass HB 1826, the Illinois civil union bill, which will ensure fair treatment for all Illinois families.
Join us this Saturday and Sunday, August 30th and 31st at the College of Lake County in Greyslake, to turn out support for the civil union bill and convince local state representatives to stand for fairness in Illinois. To register, click on the civil union button to the right, or visit action.aclu.org/ILCU. read more »
