It’s been quite a year for the ACLU’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Project. From the passage of the civil union bill to our induction into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame, we’ve been working hard to ensure the guarantees of the Bill of Rights apply to everyone regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.

Meet our float. Her name is Arlene!
We’re celebrating this amazing year of progress in defending and advancing the rights of LGBT Illinoisans. For the first time ever there will be a ACLU of Illinois float at the Chicago LGBT Pride Parade!
Our theme this year is: Fighting the Good Fights, and Winning! and we’ll be featuring Miss Liberty herself boxing against the haters of civil liberty and the Bill of Rights.
We hope you can join us at this year’s parade. Sign up now.

The ACLU fights for our rights and our dignity. They do the things that I don't have the time, energy, or power to do on my own. United within the ACLU, we are stronger than working alone.
